ပံု (၁) Thyroid Gland
The thyroid gland is located in the front of the neck attached to the lower part of the voicebox (or larynx) and to the upper part of the windpipe (or trachea). It has two sides or lobes. These lobes are connected by a narrow neck (or isthmus). Each lobe is about 4 cm long and 1 to 2 cm wide. The name "thyroid" comes from the Greek word which means "shield".[ 1 ]
အရြယ္ ပမာဏ ေသးငယ္သေလာက္ သူ၏ အလုပ္တာဝန္မ ်ား က ႀကီးေလးမားေလစြ။
ယင္းသည္ ေဟာ္မံုန္း (၃) မ ်ိဳး ကို ထုတ္လုပ္ျဖန္ ့ျဖဴးရ ၏။ ထို ေဟာ္မံုန္းမ်ားမွာ
The thyroid gland produces three hormones.[2]
• Thyroxine which is tetraiodothyronine or T4
• Tri-iodothyronine , T3 and
• Calcitronin
Thyroxine also called tetraiodothyronine or T4 , molecule contains 4 atoms of iodine and Tri-iodothyronine , so-called T3 , molecule contains 3 iodine atoms. Thyroxine ေမာ္လီက ်ဴးတြင္ အိုင္အိုဒင္း အတမ္ ၄ လံုး ပါဝင္ ျပီး၊ T3 ေခၚ Tri-iodothyronine ေမာ္လီက ်ဴးတြင္ အိုင္အိုဒင္း အတမ္ ၃ လံုး အသီးသီး ပါဝင္ႀက၏။
